I could live with B, C, and E. Maybe my monitors are too dark, I thought this was a black, purple, and acid green pattern, not dark green instead of black
In that case maybe A should be a touch darker and C a bit brighter/more noxious, though I think that if this is what we got then it would work for me.
But I'm starting to see the value in having the tartan registered for future reproduction, matching tartan dye is worse than matching paint!

I know a little off topic, but registering the tartan doesn't actually register the actual colours , other than black, purple, light and dark green ( for example).
There would still be leeway for variations within the actual colours. There could be advisory information included, or the tartan could be restricted to a particular weaver or only available from the registrant.
As some of us keep saying, there is no official colour chart, the choice is usually down to the weaver, which is why there is a colour variation between weavers of the same tartans. I don't think of this as a problem, but one of which it offers greatest choice for the end user
Of course Scott should have the say in what colours he wants his tartan to be in, and D C Dalgleish should be very happy to help him choose, even if it takes several sample threads

Not as far as I know. Nothing has been woven yet -- only quoted. Just post your desired DW yardage requirement... But at this point it may be wiser to simply PM Artificer so he can make sure to include you.

** Hopefully we'll be able to make the postage directly payable by the intended recipients (as well as any applicable fees) basically as if we were each ordering individual custom runs. That way I don't get a whopping huge bill that wasn't calculated initially, and none of you over-pay me.

I'm still waiting for an answer on individualized billing. Request for more samples being compiled right now.
BTW: For all and every, thanks for your patience. I've got something of an emergency situation I'm dealing with, so I'm not on X-marks as much as I'd like to be. Rest assured, I'm still on the case. I'm just having to do this in smaller increments.
Hoping to get new samples in the next few days. I've had a bugger of a time trying to get good online colour sample chips to match what we all seem to think the colours should be.

Any further progress as far as colours go?
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary; for those who don't, none is possible.

Is it to late to join in on this? If not and 3 yards is plenty for a box pleat, i'd love to order. Think the tartan is great. If it is to late it's all good.

PM Artificer, we haven't finalized anything yet. AS FAR AS I KNOW. YMMV.
