To be technical, neither tpa nor HootinHoller fulfilled Matty's requirements of being kilted in a nice restaurant. tpa's unfortunately did not show the kilt (even though he was wearing a gillie shirt), and HootinHoller, while kilted, was not clear that it was a restaurant, much less a nice one.
So, here's what I'll do to hopefully make this as fair as possible. I'll extend the restaurant challenge for another day. If anyone has a photo that was taken anytime after June 27, it's fair game...
If no one wins the challenge in that time, then tpa's challenge of "kilted on a hilltop" will be the one to meet.

Just to kick this off again, my wife and I enjoying the sun outside Sudbury Hall in Derbyshire. The hall itself is originally 17th century, we are outside the cafe, which is housed in what was the stable block which was added later, I think it says 1882 over the door to the souvenir shop.
I'll post some more pictures in a separate post later and add a link, it is well worth a visit for anyone in the area.
Next challenge: Kilted in a bar/pub. Should not be too difficult, even the Tilted Kilt will do at a pinch for those on the other side of the pond in the East coast area.

does this count?
My sister (the youngest of five and only lass of the lot) has two daughters. The youngest, Sarah married a gent from and returned with him to Scotland. If allowed, I present their marriage as my entry for these reasons. The N.C. coast is a windy region. The good women of my family are a handful to live with. Jess (the young groom) and his folks braved both elements to meet the challenge on my behalf. Forgive me if I am tilting windmill. Attachment 20881Attachment 20882

Great picture Mael, two kilts has got to be better than one; bet you did the Hamish with her just for a follow up if needed! If you didn't, i'd go back and ask. Got to be worth a picture.

Indeed TPA; and satisfy the current challenge! But I didn't so I would have to go back to PLT. Life is so demanding.
