I am forty years old and don't feel a day over fifty.
Course, I have been at work for 12 1/2 hours now, so that may have something to do with it!

I am 31 now, and plan on competing in the Highland Games well into my 60's.
Well at least I hope.

Well, I feel a bit late to the party...
But I'm 27. I've been married for 7 years and wearing the kilt for 4ish. I've got the beautiful wife and 2 amazing kids part down, now we just gotta find a great job or 2 and buy a house, lol.
I think that definitely part of the reason that this group might skew a little bit older is "disposable income," as someone else suggested. I know that at least part of the reason I don't own more kilts is affording them. I know that it has been an issue with some of my friends who have been interested wearing the kilt. Most of my friends are financially where I am, think students or just post that. I have at times watched all of the purchases that the people on this board make with quite a bit of envy. But I know that if its what I really want, I just need to focus and work hard for it, oh yeah and hope/pray really hard, lol .
Sorry didn't mean to get off topic.

I was looking at the stats and there apears to be a bit of a middle-aged spread. Look I'm average.

Have you seen the prices at Stillwater kilts? They're still not as cheap as a good pair of cargo pants, but are fairly close. The prices range from $44 for a budget kilt to $120 or so for a heavier wool one. I have one of their mid-range kilts that, as of now, cost $75 new. It's not as nice as other kilts I've seen, but is adequate (IMHO.)
They have some closeouts listed at http://stillwaterkilts.com/closeouts.html as well.

23 right now, 24 in May.
I'm feeling very young and sheepish, all of a sudden.
