I'm not sure dolomite would taste so good... Limestone is kind of bland tasting. Perhaps we could get Barb T to hop in here and tell us about the flavors of the different rocks. Which kind of stone is best for stone soup?

Oh, and I like opals, but I wouldn't want to eat them... I kind of like lab created opals too.

Opals are very very pretty. I am extremely fond of looking at them, way too pretty to eat.

Yes opals are very pretty. They happen to be my birthstone, but I don't care much about that... Now that I think about it, they kind of remind me of candy.

I like those pepermint candies that are round and have the red stripes because they're pretty too. Keep in mind that I'm a blind guy... I just have to go by what I remember, LOL!

Ok, ok! I'll confess. When I was a little kid, my parents always bought these red, transparent, glycerin bars of soap. They look exactly like a giant candy... and I took a bite of one. It didn't taste like candy... That's ok though because we were required to brush our teeth with baking soda and dish soap sometimes, and I was already used to the taste of soap..., but I wanted it to taste like candy. It still makes me sad that it didn't taste like candy. (Just for the record, that was about thirty years ago.)

In other news, I remembered that I have a pack of porkchops in the freezer. That means that when I run out of chicken, I can try experimenting with pork and citrus.

Oops, I goofed and started posting out there in the real world..., but I don't think I went too far. I did bring up String in a knitting patern thread.

Allergies are causing a bit of a problem with the gardening right now, but it'll be ok. It's started raining just a tiny bit. I could always go eat a bar of soap...

It was a thread where the guy's aunt from India was knitting sweater sleeves and the guy wanted paterns. I shouldn't have posted in that thread, but I wrote something like, I don't know anything about knitting. Um... String."

I really should just stick to posting in my own threads. I posted in that thread about weird people, and I think that was ok, but I was worried for a while that it was going to be locked down. In one thread asking about what your job is, I posted that I was a "Big, dumb bunny..." That thread got locked down because there was another thread about the same thing. I think I should have written "big, dumb, gardening bunny,"and that would have made a little more sense because I also put that I am an artiste. I hope I wasn't the reason it got locked down because my post is the last post before Mike1 posted that the thread was locked and go to the other thread... But now I'm the big, dumb bunny... Guess that's ok, please don't pick me up by the ears.

It's kind of cold and rainy today. At least it was raining all night and early this morning. It kind of makes things depressing outside...

Hi String, I went and found that thread and my post. Here it is:

I'm sure they have you covered on the patern in the following posts; I don't know anything about knitting. Um... String.

That link should take you to that thread.

I think I will go to the grocery store this weekend. I want to get those giant oatmeal cookies, and I am almost out of honey. Bee milk... Still eating several citrus fruit each day. It rained on and off all day, so I wasn't much of a garden bunny.

Ya, that's what I'll do, go to the store this weekend. Get some oatmeal cookies, and some more honey. I was making a bunch of bear sculptures last year, and I would look at the different styles of honey squeez bears at the stor as models. I have a collection of empty squeeze bears in my studio now.

BTW, my family has always called me "Bear," so I guess it all fits together somehow.

They locked down the weird people thread... I don't think I caused that though.

    Ya...

Thanks for posting, String. I think I'll wait to go to the store until tomorrow or Monday.

I have been posting in the "Marmite" thread. Kind of just thinking through what I would put marmite on... I might try to find a jar; it's not that bad on stuff. Someone suggested oatcakes, and I thought that sounded like a good plan.

I've been reorganizing all the recipes on my computer, and I did see a recipe for snicker doodles. It's always nice to think about snicker doodles... Or giant oatmeal cookies with marmalade or any number of yummy things on them. Or even just plain.

It's funny, I saw a thread on thick kilt hose just a few minutes ago, and I almost posted, but it was like, why bother. I like thick hose, but I wear sandals, no hose, in the summer. In fact, I kind of like extra thick hose, or for casual, extra thick knee high socks, scrunched or un-scrunched. The thick ones are like woolly lam's legs. I don't wear the pure white hose, but go with the cream and that kind. I plan on getting brown, also gray, and a few other colors. I like wearing the kind of sandals that have straps around the ankles with my kilts, but other kinds are ok too. I try to keep things nice... not falling apart or ratty looking. I guess it all depends on the theme of the outfit and event. Kind of glad I didn't post anything there.
