Maybe by then the Balmoral I ordered from Glengarry Hats will have arrived. Three weeks and not a peep out of them.
Thanks again Steve, I'm really looking forward to this one.

You north americans have it easy! Us UK'er have to add:
Trip from Canadian customs to UK mail inbound (London) + 2-3 weeks more.
UK customs sort it, send it to their central depot in Coventry + 1 week
UK customs decide that it's for a London address and send it back to a depot 12 miles outside London, *** week
London depot get around to writing the customer a letter 'demanding' the customs duty, plus a 'handling fee' yadda yadda... + 1 week
Find a free day to drive to the depot and pay, collect the item, + 1 week.
Enjoying it, priceless!
Thanks for all the hard work, Wizard, but us UK'er need to have stronger jonesing muscles.
best regards

Forgot an important step.....
Canadian Customs to U.S. Customs....scanned...found to contain metal...To Homeland Security.... Sharpened parts found to be less than 3"... Delivered to delivery service chosen by "Wizard of B.C."... Sorted to wrong Postal Code... Etc..
not even getting in jones mode yet.

Oh I forgot a couple of steps as well.
For Californians: Environmental services to check for possible addition to "carbon footprint".
If on list of items permitted for sale in California, then 3 weeks later its back on track.
Here in Massachusetts, it will get checked by DEQE for hazardous material, then to CHSB for weapons potential then on its way...

SteveB,
Your post would really be funny if it wasn't so darn likely. Whatever happened to the Land of the Free?
