To keep it on topic...
Do use Kilts to promote your tough marathon going up a mountain.
Don't make the poor frog wear his Kilt backwards.

Does "warm, friendly" involve a well-placed boot? Just askin'.

Well, you can induce them to pay you a beer (at least!)

I had thought about it, but I figured that they were doing their best to try and fit in, and I didn't want to ruin the day for them by causing them to be self concious. I would think that they probably looked at every other man that walked by and saw that they had pleats, and what was considered normal and probably already felt a little out of place.
Which leads me to a DO for this forum.
DO try to be considerate of other's feelings when deciding to talk to them about their attire. Basically, follow the golden rule. (not the "he who has the gold, makes the rule")
We all giggle and laugh at the pictures posted here, and probably giggle to ourselves when we see them in public. But DO be nice in person.

When it comes to gracefully advising the kilt-impaired, let's not forget that there are the uninitiated who are making a game effort and the cocky bastards who are doing it as a joke...like they think this is funny?
The cocky bastards should at least get a withering look if not the boot (steel toe, please) right in the ol' credenza.
Not that I'm advocating violence by any means. The Dalai LLama wouldn't approve and the last time I looked, he was un-bifurcated as well.

Upon closer inspection it looks like he has wrapped himself up in what he probably thinks is a proper belted plaid.

Thank you. I would just hate to ever give someone such a bad impression of kilt wearers and possibly turn somebody off to their desire to wear a kilt just because some guy/girl picked on them for how they were dressed. He was trying, and I'm sure someday he will get it right.
If you do talk to someone about it i'd just be gentle.
