Thanks! It's newish to me; a vintage find from a bit ago. Has some minor moth and kilt pin damage and it's slightly too small for me. I bought it thinking it might fit and if not, I'd give it to my son when he was bigger but it was so close to fitting, I figured I'd try extender straps and get some wear out of it.

    Shane

So not quite a Friday - well maybe for some it still was...

Our first farmers' market for a while - I always go kilted and a great change to try out some new gear.

i, know the sporran doesn't go - but my 5 year old picked it out this morning. She also took the photos!!

First outing for both the sporran and the jacket & vest.

After we got back - while I had the dress sporran on - though I would also try out a new Sheriffmuir (I bought both jackets at the same time, for £50 each).

I had some time off today, so I ended up doing some repair work on my old pickup truck. Finally warm enough to wear my utility kilt. Bit of metal work but no welding today. Didn't get a picture - it's a utility kilt, there's just really no point.

Yesterday's outfit. Isle of Skye casual kilt, dark gray button-up, brown sporran, belt, hat, and shoes. No exciting "adventures", though.

    First Kilted Friday post

So I started a new job back in May and have the chance to meet some of my new co-workers for the first time today for a Pub Lunch outside of London.

As is my preference, fairly non-traditional. Green tweed kilt with brown leather airplane seatbelt buckle, tan brogues, green hose with red flashes and (in my opinion anyway) a cool sculpted crow's skull broach repurposed as a kilt pin.

I hadn't worn a kilt out of the house in a few months, what with the recent re-openings and getting back to a regular (not very kilt friendly) routine. Between work (not kilt friendly), running (not kilt friendly), climbing (very not kilt friendly), and working from home (kind of a waste), I've been finding it difficult to find time to get all kilted up.

I posted the following photo in the K&C group as a "throwback," and expressed some of the above. The resounding response was "just do it," and "just treat it like jeans."

Anyway, I did my best to "treat it like jeans" with a simple casual outfit this weekend, and tried out scrunched hose for the first time. I like the effect for a very dressed-down look.

    Happy Kilted Friday Y’all!
You’ll notice I’m embellishing my first jacket/waistcoat ensemble with a tried and true technique: bringing in an adorable (kilted) child to level me up through proximity 👍
