WOW, Thank you all for your input. The gist I am getting is:
*Get the Tartan you like, cause if you dont like it, you wont wear it
*Get the heaviest weight you can affort
*Dont worry, you WILL be buying more.
So, I will let you all know how it goes, I need to asses my financial position and then start up the order.
I really like the look of the Box Pleated kilts, and Mike seems to have access to what I want; plus he seems a really nice and modest guy.
Thanks again,

Mike? I think you mean Matt Newsome, the wizard of the 4-yard box-pleated kilt.

You've recieved a lot of good advice. My two cents; wear whatever tartan you like, wether you feel a connection or not. Just wear it with respect, and remember a kilt is not a costume, or for special occassions but everyday mens wear. The tartan police won't arrest you for wearing a tartan you like but to which you've no connection. I've learned from being a member here that really there is no such thing as the tartan police, just concerned citizens. So wear your choice of tartan proudly and respectfully.
As far as tartan choices; Have you seen the Fraser and Kirkbright tartan listed as Celtic Pride. Very handsome. Hope this doesn't make your decision more difficult.

In all likelihood, yes. I really try and keep my turnaround time between 8 and 12 weeks (with custom woven tartans sometimes taking longer, but that's not an issue with County Clare). Right now I'm running closer to 12 weeks, because I got behind over Easter. I'm trying my best to catch up, though.
My only concern is that my family and I are moving at the end of May, and I have no idea how that will affect my schedule, only to say it won't be for the better! (Which is why I'm trying to work extra hard now to get ahead of the game before move time).
So I don't want to guarantee anything, with that in mind. But it's possible, yes, and I will do my best. You'd have to get it on order as soon as possible, though. Email me to work out the details.
Aye,
Matt
