Hello and welcome to the forum.
I am living on the South Coast now, but was born in York and one line of my ancestry - I think the Wilsons, were 'cleared' off their land and travelled by fishing boat down the East coast and ended up in South Yorkshire on a few different smallholdings around South Hiendley.
I wore kilts as a child - some quite old ones with the leather straps in a sad state, fastening on the right side and the colours very 'weathered' as they would be described these days.
