I'll be there. Isn't there a party in the campground on Sat night or is that only for campers?

Bump. . .
We'll be there Sat and Sun, based at the Donnachaidh tent but doing a lot of wandering. Hope to run into a few of you there!

What's odd about all our local Games is that I'm always there the entire weekend, and so are a lot of other XMarkers, but I almost never actually MEET any of them!
Trouble is, unless members are wearing XMarks cap badges I have no idea who you are.
I should be easy to spot! I look like this
except I'll be dressed like this

Ladies and Gents: I received a response back from ScotsFest representative Tom Reoch this morning, regarding an inquiry I placed. Mr. Reoch advised that Veterans with a valid Dept of Veterans Affairs issued disabled id card will also be admitted to the games free of charge. As you already know admission is free for Active duty and Retired Service Members.

The thing is, to meet up, everybody has to take some specific time away from their activities to actually MEET. If I'm throwing all day, I'm focused on throwing, and it's only during the lunch break that there might be time to meet other people. If you're piping, then you probably have a schedule around your solo piping competitions that you have to work with, as well as the several times during the day when your band will be playing.
All of these things are not necessarily scheduled to the minute. I know that our lunch hours sometimes start at 12:00 and sometimes at 1:00 and sometimes at 1:35 1/2. Assuming that droves of X Markers will drop everything to hunt you down while you are concentrating on your piping/dancing/selling/drinking/throwing is just not realistic.
So the thing to do is for SOMEONE who knows the grounds to just make an executive decision like...."X Markers will meet up at the Clan Donnachai'dh Tent at 2:30"....or whatever.... and then see who makes it. Otherwise, it will never happen. Personally I nominate sydnie7 as chairwoman, but she can decline, of course.

SATURDAY: X Markers will meet up at the Clan Donnachai'dh Tent at 2:30 Saturday
SUNDAY: X Markers will meet up at the Clan Donnachai'dh Tent at 1:30 Sunday
Be there or be. . . not there! Hey, blame Alan for handing me the reins. I realize the musicians and athletes have schedules that may conflict, and others may be "stuck" at another clan's tent, but hope you can swing by for a moment and photo.
It's likely that Bob will wear his XMarks kilt on Saturday and I'll wear the long XMarks skirt on Sunday -- but no promises.

She blames Alan for giving her the reins but she really enjoys those reins. And the whip too.
Our clan tent at 2:30 Saturday sounds good. Let us know if anyone is there. Just kidding.
