People are getting together but not organized
It has been a long time since I heard from the WACKOS, however, many of us have been getting together regularly over the past year to wear kilts and drink Scotch and beer. Going to the Highland Games have been a big part but we have done a lot of other things as well. We just look for events and show up in force! We've done the Skagit Celtic Arts Society (CAS) Burns Dinner, CAS Scotch Tasting, CAS AGM meeting (free scotch and food!), Fred's Rivertown Alehouse Scotch Tasting (over 110 bottles of Scotch), O'Donnells Pub (with Celtic entertainment), Sutherland Caleigh (loads of fun all weekend), and various other events in kilts. I know many are going to the Mastery of Scottish Arts Concert at Benaroya Hall, although I cannot make it, and, of course, the Gung Haggis Fat Choy.
Unfortunately, I have not been getting WACKOS notices anymore so I figured everyone lost interest after the last Burns Dinner. I will check my settings to see why.
We may want to make a WACKOS Facebook page and organize that way.
Anyway, I am glad that people are starting to communicate again.

I like the WACKOS facebook page idea. I might start that up this weekend when I have my 5 minutes of free time.
Bill from Gung Haggis asked me to pump up the event a bit, so I hereby encourage all of you to buy tickets to this amazingly fun event and convince friends, loved ones, and bitter enemies to do the same.

Barry,
I'll be at the GHFC with a few folks this year at our own table and I saw Bill just last week at the Caledonian's meeting.
We should meet and get aquainted when we're there.
I tried to join in with the WACKO's a couple of years ago when there seemed to be more going on but it's all in the timing, and I just couldn't make it work. I'd sure be up for giving it another go.
Cheers,
