He got up this morning for breakfast dressed in this. I told him it was a little dressed up for a Saturday.
His kilt hose are too big, but that's because they are MINE. That little turkey took them from me.
I am very pleased, however, with the kilt.
Time for a "Just because.." gift and buy him some hose of his own. It's a win/win situation.
"Just because" gifts are a great way to show him you love/acknowledge him for who is becoming. He gets the positive reinforcement he needs even when he isn't aware that he needs it, etc., etc., and you get the benefits of his not borrowing your hose anymore.
I admire his Saturday look. He's a kid and they have their moments with clothing choices on any given day or mood. I'm glad to hear that he has adopted a more appropriate public appearance while kilted. I'd also be intimidated to spar (Jiu Jitsu) with a kilted opponent, but whatever attracts the girls eh?
This thread was actually very assuring for me, I'm waiting on my first Casual Kilt and I was concerned it would resemble something cheap and manufactured compared to real kilts. Hearing it seems 'formal' and tailored is a major relief!

You needn't worry, the material is top rate, the workmanship is flawless... I recall reading that Rocky has a cross-check system in place to ensure perfection. If a pleat is off it gets ripped and re stitched. Looking at my casual I can spot nary an issue, not a stitch loose or line askew, no stair stepping on the pleats. Rocky and his crew are perfection machines.
