    Barb,

    Welcome to the forum!

I've just read a couple of the posts that you wrote in the "Traditional Kilts" section, and I can tell that you're going to be a real asset to the board. It's great to have another traditional kiltmaker on the board; maybe Jimmy Carbomb can have a break from the pressure of answering our kilted questions.

I loved the end part of your post about hemming kilts that are too long. It gives a great answer for how traditional kilts should be worn, so that guys can avoid that too long look. I hadn't heard that bit about the center of the belt buckle being on the navel, but that makes perfect sense. I've been guilty of forcing mine too low in the past. Thanks for the insight.

    Again, welcome to the board.

Welcome to the forum Barb. What a treat it is to have another recognised authority join us here. Your book is also on my wish list so I look forward to your input.

Hi Barb! I've been bragging to folks that XMarks has some of the best kiltmakers in the world as members.

Now that you're here, I can drop "some" from the sentence.

    You are most welcome here.

    Hi Blu

I love your signature line! I'm going to pass it on to my daughter's boyfriend, who has just (cheerfully!) started wearing a kilt.
