    Colin ...Thoose hot air vents?

    Oh ....Behave that man
    Freelander,
The problem was that it was refreshing, so I don't think I corrected it right away

Colin, sounds like a good time was had be all for sure. I hope the Wife had a good time as well.

I am looking forward to the christmas party I am about to attend with my roommate Heather. Movie stars and fancy people, you know all the upper class, and me with no class. I should stick out like a bull in a china shop, but it will be fun breaking all that china!!
    Andrew,
I know you and Heather will have a blast tonight. Tell Ben Affleck that he owes me $24 for Daredevil and Changing Lanes. Let us know how it went.

Jill actually had a great time at the party. She won a Blackberry (cellphone/palm pilot) and got to see a bunch of co workers she hasn't seen in awhile.

Sooo.... pretty much par for the course huh!
    Blu,
You bet, pretty much par for course. Pretty tame compared to some of the Vancouver kilts nights.

    Colin,

I am really glad you and Jill had a good time - enjoy these events while you can!

I've not been to a Christmas party (nor any other sort, other than a neighbour's pre-lunch sherry-sipping hour) for many years!! I tried throwing one, just after I retired, but everyone around here seems not to want to go out after dark. There were two couples, plus me!!

I am planning on being on my own for the Christmas and Hogmanay period, but that is partly my own choice.

    Colin,

I also attended my wife's Christmas party last weekend. I wore my Flower of Scotland tradional. Went with friends and it was the first time that they had seen me in full regalia. She was quite taken.

Unfortunately it was a disco night and when the DJ started pumping the "smoke" into the room my lungs protested and I had to make a quick exit before I could twirl around the dance floor. From the looks I had received early in the evening, I'm sure a lot of women were disapointed.

As my wife and I were leaving, I even received an invitation to the party in the next room at the hall we were in.

    Casey

Say the word Hamish and you're welcome at mine anytime.
I have to go to 3 christmas do's this week and I'm pretty miserable about all of them.
I do know what you mean about spending time alone through choice.
Or does that make us Grumpy Old Men
    Cheers Rhino

Kindness and generosity personified yet again, Rhino! Thank you.

I never think of myself as a "Grumpy Old Man" (well, not "old" anyway ), but maybe you are right. However, I can be the life-and-soul of a party - if my memory serves me!
