You too?!
Strange minds think alike! I grabbed some Irish National that I had sitting around and plopped it on the front of a sporran so that I could wear it with any of my solids... and still "represent" the island.
I put it on with the Irish National Kilt and it just blended into the fabric. Call it a "stealth sporran".
You've got to admit, it's a coooool look!

tartan sporran...
A Scottish Country Dancer who came to our Burns Nicht last Saturday had a "sporran-purse" (isn't that redundant?!) with tartan on the front -- in this case, it was the Colorado state tartan, since she had just moved here from Denver.
I like the look -- it would look good with a tweed kilt!

Hey kilt makers. What do you do with any sizable scraps of tartan?
I wouldn't mind having some scrap pieces for whatever I can think to do with them.
So if you want to clean up your shop, maybe you can dump some on me.

Instead of a Tartan Sporran, how about a Tartan Sporganisor?

Raphael gonna get a commission out of that one?
It would be VERY easy to do that! A simple underlayment with the tartan applied on top is quite simple to do. I make tartan carriers for band instruments, and use a thin vinyl/plastic inside the things.
That's a real cool idea!
