BBC America generally runs Monarch several times a week, usually later in the evening. I know that they have a Saturday early evening showing as I TiVo that every Saturday and watch it during the week.
I'm also lucky enough to have Comcast High Speed Digital Cable, which has On Demand Movie's and shows, inlcuding BBC America On Demand which is offering Monarch of the Glenn on a regular basis.

Thanks Brian.
I think I have found it at 5:00pm on Saturday in my area.
I'll see if that's correct this coming Saturday.

there are more Englishmen than scots, should be called Englishmen of the glen.
even the laird is an English man (again)
anyway, my questions are.
what happened to duncan?
what happened to archie last time I seen him he was off to climb a mountain with his sister.
what happened to lexie, last I seen her she was fancyin archies brother, but still the lairds wife.
where we are upto: ANOTHER Englishman moved in next door, ex-chicken seller, guillies bird (the dancer) just ran off.
P.S. since when did Dr. Who live in the glen?

Phil,
I cannot answer all your questions but, firstly: are you suggesting these people are English because they speak with English accents? If so, you'll find that many Scots, especially from the Aristocracy, who have been educated in England do not speak with Scottish accents. Some of my best Scottish friends, whilst not aristocrats (!), speak with English accents!
Duncan? He left to work in Edinburgh. Sad but true! However, Hamish Clark, the actor playing 'Duncan', told me that he might just be back for one episode in the final series.
Archie? He up-sticked and moved out to New Zealand.
Lexie, followed him but returned for a while. When things started getting a bit too 'hot' for her with Archie's half-brother, by then the Laird, she decided to go back to New Zealand and Archie.
Englishmen are always moving to Scotland!
What a shame Lord Kilwillie left the neighbouring estate when he did. He was a wonderful Scottish character, who had a soft-spot for Molly, but his accent was more English than that of most Englishmen!!

Monarch of the Glen
Although I have been watching the show since it first aired on BBC America, I started watching because of Hector. The actor that portrayed him was fantastic! He was a very likable guy.
It was to bad that he left the show the way he did. And now that Archie , Lexie and Duncan are all gone as well the show is not quite the same. However I still watch it each week without fail.
Does anyone know the name of the tune that was played at Hector's funeral?

I stopped watching shortly after Hector died. I suspect that the actor saw the show going downhill fast and wanted out. My sentiments as well.

Richard Briers (Hector) wanted out because he found that four/five months filming in the comparative wilds of Scotland too much for him now that he is over 70. He is also one of our more respected actors and is in constant demand for film, TV and stage roles in London.
Susan Hampshire (Molly) is also based in London and has been reported several times as saying that she does not like being isolated from London for such long periods. There was a rumour going the rounds a year or so ago that she was leaving the series because of this, but she has stuck it out. She is rather younger than Richard Briers - maybe that's why.
The stories of Sir Compton MacKenzie, upon which the programme was based, ran out quite early on, and writers were brought in to extend the tales of Glenboggle several series ago.
The series currently awaiting transmission here in the UK will be the final series.
I agree, the programmes are not what they were but they are still eminently watchable. No bad language, no violence, no (visible) sex scenes, gorgeous scenery and good acting - perfect Sunday evening viewing!
