Cheap 'Casual' Kilts?

There's a LOT of news coming out of StillWater Kilts now days, and it's ALL to our advantage.

Standard kilts NOW have the tapered aprons!!! The Irish National Tartan is also available... and sewn TO SETT!!!!!!! One of the most beautiful tartans in the world NEEDS to be sewn to sett. They are also COMPLETELY lined on the inside.

A little bird from Minnesota dropped me a "Spy Photo" of the new HEAVY KILTS which will hopefully make their debut this summer. I won't post the picture since I don't have permission... sorry.

It looks like we need to start a whole new thread on this news. It's just what we've been waiting for with speed, price and look!!!

Kudos to StillWater Kilts for having the wherewithall to make the improvements, and give the kilted hordes an option that is affordable!

Tell you what lads, after returning to a Highland Games after many many years of avoiding them, I'm sold on the Traditional kilts sewn up by hand. More expensive yes. For special occasions yes. But worn with pride of my heritage.

For day-to-day kilting I'm having fun with my solids, camo, and leather kilts.

I intentionally got a cheap PV kilt for slobbing around in generally. I know it is machined but it does have the taper and double fringe. The pleats are fairly deep though it is only 'casual' in that it has 16 pleats. It's fine for what I wanted, but you've got me wondering now What other features should I look out for on the cr*p list before I ever risk being seen in public?

Phil, if that PV kilt came from Vancouver, then you're going to be able to wear that ANYWHERE. I have two of them in the Grizzly cut and get nothing but GREAT feedback... especially from the ladies.
