Hi George.
Tir na nOg IS a chain... but a small one now. The only three that I actually know of are in New York and Philadelphia (same owner) and a hole-in-the-wall in Trenton, NJ.
Finnigan's Wake is owned by a guy that has one in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Both locations are WELL KNOWN for being party havens. GREAT to play at!
As for the West Coast swing... if there were enough time to schedule it around all that we have here, I'm sure it would happen. It takes a load of money to do swings like that, and we're in the middle of "up-grading" equipment. You would be AMAZED at how many requests we get... The Canary Islands, Europe, and just today Japan.

Geoduck... Jimmy is right... Finnigan's Wake has a strong local reputation for being a great place to party. Very, ermmm, tolerant bouncers.
Jimmy, thanks for the arrangements. I appreciate it. I'm feeling sufficiently motivated to just work a half-day on 3/17 to get an early start on the festivities. I've not actually seen Barley Juice live yet so that will be a double bonus.
Anyone else want to do the Tir Na Nog / Finnigans Wake combination?

I hope to see you guys at Tir Na Nog. I'm going to have to make an early night of it, I can't get off the next day as my back up is on a week long golf outing. But Barley Juice rocks, and are worth the trip in their own right!
Jimmie, I have not been to Fergies Pub in a while, hows that on St Pats day? Being that ol' Fergie himself is from Phibsboro in Dublin, where I was married. (His mom and my former mother-in-law play bridge together.)
And you may ask yourself, Well how did I get here?

Wow what a night!
See my post in the picture forum for more details. Sorry, I only got pics of the band. It was great meeting KiltedHuntsman and erudite and his wife (? girlfriend?). And of course seeing Barleyjuice for the first time was a real blast.
Och me head hurts and me ears are ringing...

Gawd, what a great band! Tight, high energy, LOUD wall of Celtic Rock! Great place, great company. Best St' Patrick's Day I've had in a while.
And the ladies, how they love the Kilts...

And Tir na Nog is a much more conservative environment than some of the other pubs. I went over to Finnigan's Wake after Barleyjuice went off the stage and the ladies were rabid for kilted men, I tell you!

First things first...
I can not THANK "The Kilted Huntsman", "Erudite", and the Mighty "Magnus" enough for coming-out and sharing St. Patrick's Day with Barleyjuice. After getting up REAL early to do the show on NBC in the morning, your energy was GREATLY appreciated!!!
I STILL want to know what had to be done at that place to get a string of shamrocks around the neck.
I'm also convinced that Magnus is packing "fire wood" since he was fanning the flames for all the "Kilt checks".
I hope you guys get your hearing back soon. That's what you get for hanging-out at the band's table. WHAT?!!!
Make your plans for next year. Tir Na Nog has ALREADY asked us back for the Parade Day AND St. Patrick's Day. Let me know again, and there will be none of that "waiting in line" crud! That steady stream was NUTS!

I must have been helping out with percussion because my hands are aching. I think I remember playing drums on the table but boy do I feel it. And my voice is coming back now. But you guys are a force of nature. I can't think of a better band to enjoy St Patty's Day with.

8) I'll never tell.

I don't remember too much but this is probably a good thing.
Tir na Nog was a bit stuffy but I had a lot of suit & tie guys buying me beer just for posing for a pic with their girlfriends & wives. I don't know how many I had but it is very rare for me to have any sort of memory loss. So it must have been a lot.
I hope you guys get your hearing back soon.
What?!?

OK I'll be ... uhhhh ... security! Yeah! That's it!
And the bead hander outer.
You know... for some reason I seem to remember being pulled by a bunch of pretty girls into the ladies room there but the rest is fuzzy.

Our pleasure. As they say in Dublin, the craic was 90. Will definitely see you before then!
And you may ask yourself, Well how did I get here?
