    Yes they did adopt the Lady Jane because the tartan contained the colors of the Air Force Reserve (ultramarine blue and golden yellow)

    Hi guys

    If you look carefully, you'll see that the Lady Jane/US Air Force unofficial tartan is not the same as the US Forces/Thurso:

    Overall, they are very similar, but the Thurso has a double white, while the Lady Jane/Air Force has a double blue, and the red and yellow stripes are reversed in position.

    It's the Lady Jane, not the Thurso, that was adopted by the US Air Force Reserve pipe band.
