    Ahh yes, Good old Cat Rooney's. A fine place to take a drop of the pure or 5. Being an allum of UD and still rather close to the area, I've spent many a day and coin there. Also, have you gone to Piece of Ireland? Some friends of mine used to work there, dont know if they still do though.

    From the other side of the pond, welcome.
    I had a good look at an amazing saffron army surplus kilt in a local surplus store. Still cheaper than the full works - but the army really must have been tough 'cos it weighed a lot; - just another option!

    from everything I've read, generally military kilts are/were 18-20oz weight material. I seem to remember one of the kilt-makers here mentioning that...
