Good News Graham, Todd, and others,
It sounds like Duncan, Kilwillie, and the spirit of Hector will all make appearances in the up coming final series of Monarch of the Glen. I am trying to find the link on bbc where I read this, but when I do, I will attach to this message.

Good to hear that, Colin -- I miss Hector. The missus says that my best friend Mark and I are just like Killwillie and Hector (I'm Hector, btw)!
Cheers,
Todd

Monarch sale
When I was there a few weeks ago, on the 6th August, they had a sale at Laggan Village Hall of items donated by cast and left from filming. Not sure where the money raised went to though, but a few odds & ends are coming up on e-bay which I have spotted. I hope the final programmes get back to the real spirit of the first few series!!

I've never seen this but it looks like BBCA is running the episodes of the first season over the next few weeks. May have to fire up the DVD Recorder (it's running at 5:00 pm EDT) and see what it's all about.

Yes, it's sad to see the end of MOTG, I shall miss it. Duncan was a huge influence on me re. kilts, and it was groundbreaking in portraying the kilt in a casual way.
I will certainly aquire all the episodes on DVD as they become available.

Colin, I hate to presume but I am wondering if that was something I said. When I spent time with Hamish Clark (Duncan) at the grand opening of Howie's TFCK Showroom in Edinburgh in January, he told me that the Producer of the series wanted to get everyone back, possibly in the final episode. At that time, however, nothing was finalised as the filming took place a few months later.
I should be able to confirm next Sunday evening's start of the final series in a day or two - when I receive my BBC 'Radio Times' (a weekly magazine listing all radio and TV programming) for next week.

Not at all Hamish, I actually found the information out in a BBC press release, and via a post on the MOTG forum.

According to one site, Duncan is going to be back on the show in the first episode of the new series.Kilwillie is apparently back in the second episode. Unfortunately BBC Canada is not airing the show yet.
Here's a shot from the first episode
