I have a friend who's knitting me a pair of kilt hose. If they turn out nice I may commission some others. That'll at least save me a few $$ per pair.

I say, you chaps! Why pick on me? ;)
No, I've not written a book. It has been suggested to me several times, but I simply do not have the time or the ability - besides, Matt has already produced a very useful wee tome which many find, or have found, very helpful.
I like to keep my Photo Album going, but I was looking through it the other day and was struck by how dated some of the earlier (5 or 6 years ago) photos are. They were taken with a very basic digital camera, but now I am on my third one maybe I should consider re-shooting some of them. Since my early days of every-day kilt wearing, I too have learned a lot and I shudder when I see some of those outfits and ensembles I put together in 1999/2000.
Oh, why are there not enough hours in the day?

If Hamish to get a penny every time some one asks him to write a book on Kilt wearing, I wonder how full his piggy bank is going to be?

And so it should be. And I believe this should be the goal of every kilt wearer... not how often. I came to this same turning point a year or so ago and interstingly enough I've been wearing kilts less - not more - since then. I think perhaps because there was no longer a need to make a point of it and now it's a more natural thing to do.
It's the freedom to choose... without hesitation... and being comfortable with it.

Well done Alan, it's a nice place to be, and one that does a power of good to one's self confidence and personal joy.
I think most of us have benefited from Hamish's help. Before I began wearing kilts I didn't give a single thought to what matched what, I didn't care.
hamish has taught me to care.
Now I am nearly at the end of my second year full time kilted, my only problem is "which kilt". More kilts doesn't seem to solve that problem either.
I don't know how Hamish get's out of bed with having to decide from all his kilts

Well, before I started wearing kilts, I was lucky to have everything match. I was miserable matching shirt and tie let alone matching those horrid things that hang around my legs. It was a big sweat, and I was never happy. Now after kilts I too have turned the corner and find that through much of the information I have gleaned here that I am always a fashion plate.
