I just heard from Chris Lynch from Clannan Drumma, he said the name of the band is still the same "until Joe makes an announcment otherwise".
Boy I wish I'd been there in London and Stirling to see them:sad:

Well Joe has now made an announcement on the Clann forum,
http://clannandrumma.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=1177
it seems that the rest of the band are forming this new band and Joe is auditioning for new members to carry on Clann an drumma.
Seems that we may end up with two bands instead of one.
Either way, this "Scottish Patriot" seems to have "let the cat out of the bag".

Graham, I posted about buying 4 Clan An Drumma CDs at a recent Celtic Christmas show in Richmond. The lady I bought them from was telling me about the "breakup" and the start of the new band. She did say that Clan An Drumma will still be around as well as the new band, "Albannach". They are, both, supposed to be on tour in 2006.

Jerry, I've not followed the situation much over the last couple of weeks, but what you've said seems to be about right.
Hopefully we'll have two good bands instead of one! (looking at the bright side)

Graham, I'm just hoping that either one or both make a tour stop somewhere in Virginia. I love the cds, but from what everyone says, "you have to see them in person to really experience their performances.

Jerry,
Break out your calendar and start planning.
Take a look at their tour schedule for May!

I think Brigdeport, WV should be about 275 miles from Richmond.

Jerry, the band actually spends considerable time in the Richmond area. The young lady that you purchased the CD's from provides a 'base of operations' for the band, while they tour the States.
I will see them in just a couple of weeks and I am really looking forward to it. I managed to talk to Jacquie, while I was at Lanrak, but this will be the first I've seen the guys since early June. They are providing the entertainment, the evening of the Rob Roy Commemoration.
I mind that I do owe Jamesie a pint and it will be really difficult to buy him one without popping for the others, as well. Reckon they will believe me if I tell them I'm skint?
(Graham, I'll try to get pics from the grave side commemorative service, but there is an apparent dearth of Scots clergy on the day, so I've been asked to assist with the service. I'll give the camera to Carol with instructions to point-n-click. ;) There will be pictures from the evening's festivities, that I assure you.)
