    sorry bout the double post. but thank you all for your advice. I will have to show this to my buddy here at the school that continues to say that the sporran is only for formal dress. 8-)

    I couldn't wear an animal head sporran

    I just couldn't bring myself to wear an animal head sporran.

    I have a dog and the last thing I need is for her to attack my crotch thinking that there's an animal on me! :-o

    She's extremely protective of me and I'd rather not invite that kind of pain.

    Talk about wailing and gnashing of teeth!

    Well that's an image I didn't need in my head, but I do agree, I would wear fur but never an animal head, bit too tribal for me. (although I keep threatening to employ my cat, who I call "sporran", much to my daughters' disgust.
