I am a 47 yr old transplanted east coaster ( I grew up in California, been east now for 23 yrs), my name is of Germanic Ancestory, but there is Irish, Scottish, and English blood more directly in my Geneology, so some wonder "why a kilt?", and I say "because I felt like it!"

I am encouraged by the support of these boards, it's great to be a newbie and seeing the feedback.
This board has a solid base of experienced and savvy contributors and yet is small enough to maintain a good dialogue without getting lost in a deluge of posts.
... I get strange looks at the Walmart, Grocery store, oh well, I don't mind.
Our Wal*Marts tend to attract such a interesting spectrum of customers that I tend to get very little notice there. I just assumed that all Wal*Marts were the same.
I too want to send you some greetings and a great big WELCOME! Indeed this board is a great source of information, and to top it off a good laugh from time to time.
