Ron,
Indeed it is an honor to say CONGRATULATIONS! A fine looking tartan and kilt.

How did I miss this post??
Great photo Ron, you look good in the kilt (even after Thanksgiving;-) )
The tartan looks better in a kilt that I expected. I've not jumped at it firstly because of the cost but I wasn't that keen on the tartan. But on you it looks really good.
Kathy has done a great job!

I've been waiting to see a kilt in this tartan and I have to agree w/ Graham that it looks much better than I expected. Very nice and very dressy. It would be wonderful in a formal outfit. To all that made it happen - nice work!

Looks good Ron!! Even enlarged the photos don't do justice to what I know the tartan looks like but it looks great and great on you. I can't wait for my weight to settle down (still doing the up/down thing from quitting smoking) so I can have mine made.
Bonus from stopping smoking...I've aready saved enough to have the kilt made and now I'm saving for a new traditional.

Now that's a fine looking kilt. I really like the tartan. How much did you say that cost?

Thanks all, I'm lovin' it. Waiting for better weather to take some scenic pics in the sun.
Steve, I got the shirt from a forgotten vendor at the Camp Verde, AZ Highland Games last spring. Label reads, "Handmade Ecuador 100% Cotton Pre-shrunk Machine wash, tumble dry, touch up with warm iron."
It has that long tail to just above my knees when standing. Its not handmade though, unless you call pushing the material through a sewing machine hand made...
Not sure if it shows, but its unbleached cotton, that natural look.
Mike, congrats on quiting the demon nicotine. Its worth it.
GlassMan, think I posted the cost earlier in the thread.

Remember the X Marks tartan was a custom weave and had a minimum order. It ain't cheap.

I'd like to see some close up shots of the pleats and such, if you wouldn't mind to oblige, Ron. ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Looks great though!
