Derek,

I'd no idea I would be going to Chepstowe-to when rained and traffic jammed away from Bath-as I knew herself liked Chepstowe-I decided on a quick rethink to try and save skin-well you know what women are like when denied their shopping fest--I hope to be out of intensive care within the next year or so!

It's a super castle, and I really enjoyed it-as I have in past.

Probably a good thing that not too many people about - as on slippery steps etc I needed two hands for myself, and had none left over for kilt-a serious design flaw under certain windy circumstances-but it cheered her up no end.

Sadly I'm not a real ale fan as did not really drink to when stationed in Germany in 50's-so am a heretic - liking German lagers-wine and spirits.

Back to main topic, but really for those not used to wearing the kilt as a day to day garment-I wore it to travel to and from The West Country-in and out of motorway service stations-shops in Bath and supermarkets-and only had either positive comments-or as it should be, no more reaction than if I was wearing trousers. Too when a few years ago people would ask what the occasion might be-now they accept it is a normal garment.

I nearly forgot-in Bath there was a shop with cheap kilts in window-which suggests that there is a market.
