Ebay. You'll find whatever color acrylic socks you want. You might look for a casual day sporran while you're there. Your dress sporran is very nice, but a bit much for casual occasions. You can get a serviceable plain leather one on eBay for about $30.
I have one like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Braided-Edge-Bla...QQcmdZViewItem

The rugby socks that Bear sells on his website...www.bearkilts.com are fantastic. I have a pair of bright whitea nd I love 'em. They stay up all day without flashes, too.

SportKilts.com sells a great line of acrylic kilt hose that come in a wide variety of colors. I love them during the summer because they are much cooler than wool kilt hose. But right now I'm shifting into wool mode since winter is here.

I think this has been posted before (and by me I think!), but a great answer to cold weather and SK hose (which are very affordable, or any lighter hose) is to wear a pair of dress socks (hopefully long) underneath them, preferably wool or a wool blend, but any dress sock adds that extra bit of warmth without the thickness. I find that if I do that, I can actually wear the real hose for a second day, and just wash the under-hose that are next to the foot.

Very interesting idea. I'll have to try that. It's gotta be less expensive than my wool hose from HR.

That's a great idea. One of those, "Duh! Why didn't I think of that!"

Welcome Austin,
Your wide grin convey's your kilted joy well.
If I remember Huntsville there are a LOT of athletic supply stores in town. I'm sure you can find soccer sox off the shelf around town.
This time of year in Northern Alabama you'd probably be warmer with kilt hose. Many sources for them on line.
Looks like you're hooked lad, whatever your friends and family may think or how they may react...kilts are for YOU....enjoy, stand proud, and don't lose that grin.
