    No, that's too wide for a sporran strap.

    Its's the Natural Cowhide Strip 1" X 72" #4527-00 on this page. You could probably get away with using the ¾", but your margin for error, when slicing it, will decrease a lot if you do.

    As for the hardware - there's a lot out there, pick what you like.
