Someone was asking about the strap I was wearing in another picture. Here's a clearer shot of the strap. I made it from some plain rawhide strap I got from the Tandy leather store.
Would you be willing to share the exact product name/details with us? I don't have a Tandy Leather store nearby, so I'd have to order online, but I'm not familiar at all with leather goods, so I need some help.

Its's the Natural Cowhide Strip 1" X 72" #4527-00 on this page. You could probably get away with using the ¾", but your margin for error, when slicing it, will decrease a lot if you do.
As for the hardware - there's a lot out there, pick what you like.
