Hamish, sorry about the pain. I certainly wish you a speedy recovery, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. We will miss you, and shall all be looking forward to your return.

Hamish,
I would rather not hear from you for awhile, until you are back to form. Your health is most important!!!
Knowing you, I feel that you will be up and going real soon!

As everyone has already said, take care of the back and we'll suffer with our own wardrobe decisions. With the muscle relaxer it would be best to just wave the single malt under your nose and not pour a drink. Might not be a good combination.

Be well, and we hope we safely hear from you as soon as you feel able!
(Hurry, though- I need you to go meet more Scot and Brit hotties so I can live vicariously... I mean hear about it!)

Ouch!!! Ham you have my deepest empathy. I have had, off an on again, much the same thing since an accident in 1981. I feel for you my friend. Don't let time discourage you, chances are that it will pass and you will feel ever so much better.
Follow your doctor's advice, be careful and take good care.

I too know the pain and incovenience of back problems, who doesn't!!
so I can relate, and hope your recovery is swift. Hydrotherapy may be good for you and plenty of gentle massage.
I will use snail mail to communicate with you on the other 'matter' ;-)
