I'd like to see this as well. There are a few things that have had me confused when following Barb's book, that would be much easier to understand in video, or even some stills. I'd enjoy this as well

Once the material has been set down in text, and if one had the proper tools (digital camera, video-recorder, necessary software), I imagine it would be a fairly straightforward process to make a DVD.

The book is complete, in my head. the problem is that I write like I talk, in short, clipped, sentences.
I also talk like an engineer.
I have the entire outline, Quite a few photos, All the charts and forms, and much of the wording.
I have Jewddah working to see if he can put some of my thoughts into a readable form. My wife and I work on the book about three to four hours a week.

We are still planning to get the draft to Barb Tewksbury in early to mid spring.

I'd buy a DVD also as long as it is competitively priced. I would like to see both contemporary and traditional styled kilts covered though. Maybe one of the traditional kiltmakers could team up with Steve on this one.

This was one of my thoughts when I made the suggestion. This is not to rule out Jimmy, Rocky or anyone else makeing their own version with their techniques.

While I don't believe everyone will want to make their own kilt, traditional, contempory, sport or utility kilt. Home kilt makers will I believe profit from the knowledge. Having around 9 sport kilts and 4 (soon to be 7) semi-traditional (machine made) and 8 camo kilts in the closet I know I don't have the patience for a hand sewn 'tank'. I will also continue to purchase kilts to 'feed the fix' but there is something about wearing a product of your own sweat and sewing.

I also haved learned from my mistakes when I make a kilt BUT it would be nice to get some tips. Sometimes you just need to SEE something done.

I only proposed Barb as she has a book already, and it may be easier to adapt into DVD form.

Wow, I've done some demanding sewing, but I don't think I've ever sweated over it. Being the Southern lady that I am, I glow rather than sweat (but you knew that). ;)

    Too true!
