Good point. Ikea's 5 minutes away, and all the Kmarts around me have closed!

If you want to pay 127% more ($2.01), Martha Stewart thanks you.
I'll put the extra cash in the kitty for more kilts. ;)
Wow, Iolaus...the veiled insult was totally unnecessary. The choice of shopping venue aside, this thread was begun as a friendly suggestion, nothing more. Can we please keep it that way? ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
FYI, the Martha Stewart hangers are of a much better quality than Ikea's, and I've seen both in person. Since I prefer quality over quantity or expense, I bought the former. But, c'est la vie. ;)

Sorry, that was kinda' rough. I didn't intend to sound mean, just good natured ribbing. I apoligize.
...and since the Kmart deal just says "Import" for country of origin, I assume they would be the same thing - generic hangers.

Iolaus: Apology accepted. ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Back to the topic: The Martha Stewart hangers may be more expensive but the two I now own are of a more sturdy (very hard to flex or bend) and thicker wood than what Ikea sells (but I think they're also a bit shorter).
Regardless, I'll be putting them to good use soon enough. ;)

I was under the impression that "Ikea" was the Swedish word for "KMart".

I was at the grocery store earlier, and found them at a reasonable price of $1.50 for 3.
It pays to shop around, as this thread is pointing out.

This was exactly what was behind my fiance's prodding me into posting this thread. ;)

Right now I have one of these holding my traditional together in the middle while it is hung up on a skirt hanger (two clips on the ends).

A while ago, someone suggested using two hangers - tip-to-tip - per kilt, and then folding the kilt so that both hangers were in line to hang up. Perhaps that would work for your heavier kilts.

Until a year or so ago, I was able to buy this wooden-bar hanger with bars 15" long - absolutely perfect for all my kilts, and the bars could be slipped through the kilt's belt loops prior to clamping. They would hold the heaviest kilts but, alas, the one retailer that I knew of here in the United Kingdom (The John Lewis Partnership), discontinued them due to "lack of demand!" The bar hangers they now stock are far too short (and not strong enough) to be of any use, to me at least.
