With the PC or the Argyle I wear the Balmoral, I have a Glengarry but I am not at all fond of it. I have been collecting hats for 30 years and have some special ones like Army Air Corps crush caps, Pith helmets from a number of war eras and others that don't even fit me. I have boxes of hats that I haven't opened in years, maybe I might have something else that I could add to the wardrobe that I have forgotten about. With my Tweed jackets I wear a Deerstalker if the weather permits and I think as far as the hats that go with Scottish Attire I like the Deerstalker best as it is the most comfortable.

Well, I typically wear a ball cap of some kind unless I'm dressed up. Howevr, I've been looking for a John Bull Top hat for some time (shorter that regular top hats - think Tom Petty in the "You Got Lucky" video or anything with the Traveling Wilburies). Biggest problem is that if I'm going to get one, I want it in real beaver felt and I can't seem to stop buying kilts long enough to save the money. In actuality I've only known what this hat was called for less than a year now, though I have been searching for one for nearly 15 years.

Berets, knit caps (worn tight, west coast style), boonie hats, irish cap, cowboy hats, bandana and headscarves. Never a ballcap, as I cant stand them.
Kilts are pretty fun to accessorize, and depending on what shirts and shoes you have on the headgear can bring a look together.
Black UK, combat boots, muscleshirt, and a knit cap or headscarve? Even Hells Angels wont mess with you.
Tartan with a dress shirt, hose, and dress shoes? Berets add a nice formal look.

Personally I find that I wear my Glengarry most often. The next most common hat for me to wear is one of my several tweed flat caps. If I'm wearing a coat and vest with my kilt and it's suitably dark I also sometimes wear a favorite bowler hat. I hardly ever wear baseball caps at all since I tend to dress up more than that. During extremely warm weather I also wear a fisherman's hat (think Henry Blake from the early seasons of MASH). On visits to Texas I sometimes don a cowboy hat. I plan on getting a Balmoral soon and I also have my eye on the tartan flat caps that are available. And I want a tweed deer stalker for those cold and foggy days when I'm wearing my Inverness cape and have a pipe in my mouth!

I have 3 Balmoral hats, 1 each in black, tan & dark green (to color coordinate with the kilt I'm wearing). I hate the little pom on top, though & always cut them off, then I spray the hat with a fine mist of water & shape it to my head. And of course, I proudly wear the Robertson clan crest on it.
Often times when going casual, wearing a UK & t-shirt, I'll wear a baseball cap.
thot disnae look like Robertson tartan Redmon... whit is it?

Rather than the rain doing the 'tin roof' thing on my bald spot-a simple beret with a dragon badge. Easy to carry when not in use, and cheap.

It is a Robertson Hunting tartan, but you can't see the detail of the tartan well in the shade. If only I had a fine photographer like you, P1M...

I got it from Arizona Kilts, in Scottsdale, Arizona (Graeme Niven, proprietor)

It's a loaner for National Kilt Day (Declaration of Arbroath Day) until the one just like it that I've ordered arrives from bonnie Scotland. Don't know Graeme's supplier in Scotland, but I'd be happy to find out, if you like.

While I'm pretty sure it's some kind of sin, I wear one of several wide-brimmed hats when outside on sunny days. Having already lost half my left ear to melanoma, fashion always takes a back seat to safety.
However, I kind of like the way it looks sometimes. Here is the only recent picture I have of my self kilted/hatted.
Me, stepfather and kids at Smokey Mnts. National Park. As I was just outside of Pigeon Forge, TN (home of Dollywood) I thought the Cowboy hat was appropriate.

Just realized my avatar has me wearing my favorite sun-repellant headwear, my Tilly Endurables T3, from http://www.tilley.com/.
Best rain, sun, hiking, kayaking, beach walking hat ever.
