perplexed...
They will really perplex future archaeologists finding them in a peat bog.
I can attest to this problem, working at a National Battlefield with has living history programs in summer with reenactors and park volunteers & staff. We actually have an area of the battlefield specifically designated for such programs which has already had several major digs to ensure that any dropped musket caps, friction primers from artillery pieces, uniform buttons, etc. used by reenactors are not mistaken for the "real thing".
Cheers,
Todd

Jacobite lovat blue bonnets
Hi Everybody
I thought I'd add the details of a lady in Oamaru New Zealand who makes fantastic period bonnets to a trad old pattern , the bonnets are knited & felted and they are very popular with kilt wearers in NZ. I think they retail for NZ $ 50 which is about US $ 35.00 very resonable for a trad hand made bonnet. The lady who makes these is called Eunice Fraser and she has a shop in Oamaru making knitwear , weaving & spinning etc. She doesn't have a website but you can contact her at woolez@waitaki.ws. You would also need to include some postage of course but e mail her and see what she can do as she may have some in stock. click on the photo below to see what they look like.
