After this field report, definitely I'll go for one of these.... still haven't decided yet for a Black Watch or the Cameron, because the Cameron seems to have been "ultra-pleated", although the Black Watch seems to match with everything!
I also remembered that there was some trouble with the sizing, uh?, my black kilt is a 38 UK size and fits pretty well, but I think that u recommanded to ask for an upper size, isn't it?, so it would be better to go for a 40?

BAsed on on UK sizing, I've a 36 survival, which fits great. The EBay Blackwatch 36 fit a bit more snug than my UK 36. Considering the aprons are definitly short, I'm would have been fine with a 38. I have a 34, and am going to ask if I can exchange for a 38, and give an updated report.
this I do know, if you have to use any but the tightest holes on the leathers straps, the apron will not cover as it should.

My usual choice would be to use the middle holes on the straps, as it allows you to get or loose some weight. Just as an example, when I bought the black kilt it fitted perfectly on the middle, and now, after loosing some weight it fits on the tightest hole, so if I loose a little bit more it will get too big for me! .... still dunno if it will be good or not!
So it seems that a 40 would be ok then...?

sounds like a good idea to me. Oh, be sure you replace the leathers, they are definitly of inferior quality.

Definitely getting one as soon as I find out my new address. Never realized how naked the adult scout uniform looks with just the Eagle square knot.

I'm working on that. It has been four years since I was last involved in scouts, and the pack I was with was more concerned with religion than scouting. It didn't work out. The pack I am joining up with is far more my speed, where the kids need to learn scouting at scouts, and the religion is mostly a family thing.
