    Okay, I guess it's time for me to bring out the idea of my self-defense sporran again.

    It's a full skunk sporran using the tail end instead of the head as the flap. And as a special defense when being mugged, if you hold down a paw while lifting the tail (pretending to get your wallet for the perp) it shoots out built in mace at the bad guy!

    Okay, I'm warped.

    I have a skunk mask sporran - the head is the flap, and the tail makes the one tassel.

    It's made from one full hide, folded over mid-body so the forepaw flaps and the hindpaw flaps meet, then stitched to make the pouch, turned inside out to hide the stitches.

    It actually looks pretty good, but I wish I'd found eyes for it.

    I'd originally made it to go with the black leather and silver fittings of one of my dress dirks.

    something about saying "nice beaver" to a muckle lad in a kilt doesn't quite work for me...
