So I was messing around with my Amerikilt, SWK sporran and some leather...

And decided to take a picture of the black AK with the SWK Nightstalker sporran. I cut some leather to length, dyed it and added a couple of screw posts so that the straps are attached to the supplied SWK strap, added a couple of circular trigger snaps to the leather straps and utilized the AK loops that are already in place for their provided sporran. For the record, I think the provided sporran is ugly, but it served its purpose until I could get to the leather store.

And yes, I loathe shoes. I wear them as little as possible and didn't bother putting any on for the "photo session".

Looking at this pic, I could stand to lose about 40 lbs.

The sporran strap is attached, but slightly off-center in this pic. I used embossed screw posts to double the leather over the snap clips. It looks a little more even when I adjust it side-to-side. This was an early "prototype" shot.

You and me both, bro...about that 40 pounds. I'm working on it.

Black canvas kilts look good, I think. The color combination and the kilt just *works*.

Thanks, at the very least, I wanted to see some pics of that sporran "in action", it doesn't look to bad.

Looks like a good way to put two concepts together.

A quick set of pictures of the construction. Anybody can do this for a few bucks. I spent more than I usually would have, but I bought a couple of tools that I wanted while I was at it. I only have about $6.50 or $7 in the materials, and most of that was the two ring clips. It was the dye, hole punch and bevel that cost me the most.

    Back side, straps spread out.

Straps folded over to show filigreed screw posts.

The strap separated from the sporran. That's the factory ballistic nylon strap with the plastic D-rings. I may change out for metal D-rings and a leather strap. I haven't decided yet.

Very Nice. The Nylon Sporran is perfect for the Amerikilt.
