This reminds me, was it Josh or another young guy who was going to prom and wanted to know what to wear, a kilt or a suit. What ever happened there?

If the kilt is on under your gown, so what. Nick did it and so have others. Nick's was a college graduation, but no one knew until after.

anyone in the san diego area is invited to my graduation at Ramona Lutheran School. ask the address. my dad will reward you with a beer or scotch. the reason for the invite is for a protesting type event. my principal would rather me not wear my kilt but my dad is wearing one along with me and my brother. well if you are available the only condition is you must wear a kilt to protests the principals bad taste and stereotyping.

I truly am sorry I cannot be there to honor your fine achievement and support you and your father with yet another kilt. It is a sad state of affairs when an administrator attempts to abuse their position. Surely he/she understands that your intention is to honor the occasion. I can understand if you were intentially going to wear clothes that would mock the event and spoil it for your classmates and their parents but this does not appear to be the case. I can tell you as a former teacher in both public and private high schools and presently a college professor that if I was to hear of this happening where I teach I would be on the front row in my Ferguson tartan under my academic robes (and my degree allows that the academic robes be open).
As I am sure your father has suggested - Be always the gentlemen and respectful yet stand by your principles. Note the spelling.

I-man takes the point. I offer support but my fiddle player will be with a new band friday. Alas I didn't win her the kilt I saw on Ebay. Wear yours with pride and don't try to capitalize the numbers, it don't work ...
