And yes, it was plenty hot (95+). Several pipers fell out over the course of the afternoon.

Had such a hectic weekend, I had to choose between Friday night downtown and Saturday. We would have had to leave before luchtime Saturday so I chose Friday. We saw Barclay there, with all the people around I was glad we bumped into him! The ceilidh was very well attended. Hopefully this will be an annual thing in Greenville.
The pics look great, wish I could have been there to get in on it!

What you don't see are my "trademark" kilting converse high-tops (much cooler than leather shoes and -actually- not that looking with a kilt and kilt hose)!
(I wore the all black canvas rubber ones and my "jedi tartan" kilt-made by your truly-> my second homemade/self-stitched attempt.)

I had cropped the pic with everyone in it (just my preference), but I have gone back and added it unaltered. You may now see MacWage's cool sneakers.

A fine rabble there.
I agree, why do they hold these games during the late spring and summer months? I'd prefer a nice cool, drizzly early spring day myself.
Thank you

One reason is that they wanted to hold it at Furman University
due to the space needed, parking, and buses available.
This was the first weekend after the end of their spring semester and
Graduation. I agree it is too hot but it was record hot for June.
