I'm near Binghamton, NY. 15,000+ people evacuated (including a hospital) and large sections of the city under water. Slightly east of here a bridge on I-88 collapsed, killing two truck drivers. Personally, I'm on high ground and OK, except for about 2 inches in my basement and a swampy yard...!

    Scotty,

Sorry to hear it. It happened to us a few winters ago. Basement floodied. We lost a lot of books (not too bad) but a whole pile of photo albums with the kids in as babies (irreplaceable).

So, know what it feels like . . . my sympathies.

Thanks, everyone. Looks like some of you had it much worse.
We will be getting new floor in the bedroom in a couple weeks... in the meantime we are sleeping in the den (musty, bleh). Books are a hit and miss loss. That hurts. It's a lot of them. But photos are all fine. We are well. Just inconvenienced.

    Thanks, again.

I can understand how you feel, in Carlisle 18 months ago, we had a major flood, it was a disaster, people had to be rescued from their homes etc. It brought the city to a standstill, After all this time there are still some people not back in ther own houses. All I wanted to say is my thoughts are with you & all others that are affected.
