The sporran-I found after much searching a pattern for a 1750-1780 Regimental sporran and did my take on it in black bison hide. still needs the magnetic clasp installed but fairly complete otherwise. Hope that this pic comes out OK for all to view.

(edit) Alan, I am keeping the last friday open for Kilt Night. Hope to see you there!(end edit)

    A little sidetrack here...

I was tanking up my Lexus the other day in my khaki UK Mocker. A fellow, say mid-fifties, comes out of the retail area and heads to his car on the other side of the island from mine. He starts pumping his gas and notices my kilt.

"Where do you work?" he demands.
    "F---- T---- Bank."
"Is there some special occasion, some event?"
    "No."
"You just like to dress that way?"
    "Yes."
"Tha's cool, man, tha's cool. I like that quilt!"
"Maybe you should consider getting one," I offer.
His friend emerges from the store.
"Hey, check this out," he shouts out to his approaching friend, jabbing his finger several times in the direction of my thighs. Now I feel like a mannequin, and hope that my tank is nearly filled.
"What now?" The second man looks puzzled.
"The quilt! Check out that quilt!"
"Huh? Oh, the kilt. Tha's a nice kilt."
My pump stops. "Thanks," I reply as I hang up the hose and bundle myself up into the sanctuary that is my car.

    Clan McPatchwork, indeed!
