Probably around 75% of the time. There are still times when wearing pants is a necessity.

Oh gee.....someone here did a 168-hour week and gave percentages in a very scientific way so here goes.....
9 hours each day between work and commute trousered: 26%
10 hours each day sleeping or wearing sleep clothes: 42%
Therefore, I am 32% kilted.
I wear a flannel nightshirt to bed and it used to be so comfortable that as soon as I got home from work I would change into my nightshirt but now when it's time for bed and I have to take off my kilt I'm very unhappy. That has to say something. I wish I could sleep in my kilt but that would give new meaning to the concept of wrinkled pleats. Besides it would be a little weird.
Now...having said that I must admit that on the weekend I have taken a nap on the recliner kilted. Waking up in a kilt is a rare treat. "Where am I? What's happening? Oh....I'm taking a nap.....why am I so comfortable? Oh....I'm wearing my kilt.....that's nice....." (drifts back to sleep.....)

But is it "Ooohhh, he's wearing the Pants" excitement, or "Yesss, he's doing the yardwork!" excitement?
Another 99.8% wearer - outside of work. No kilts in the uniform dress code.
So, counting time dressed for work - 64%.

Put me with the 65-75% crowd - almost always when I'm teaching and when I'm doing "light duty" otherwise.

50-60% as a kilt is my normal daily garment, but I wear jeans on the motorycles.

My wife is the same way.
I'm kilted about 95% of the time, I'll wear pants if I have to , like riding my bike, going swimming (okay, I don't wear pants swimming, I wear shorts), or when it's way too windy (that's not often).

Wow! I must be in the vast minority here. I wear a kilt about once a week or two so I'm in the 5%-10% range. However it just doesn't make sense for me to wear a kilt when I do lab work and I don't change clothes when I get home from work. Oh well.

Well, I work in a laboratory, safety regulations prohibit the wear of anything other than trousers. If (we don't currently) there was a woman working in here, she wouldn't be allowed to wear a dress or skirt. So, I feel it's fair enough.
Outside work, I've found that I more and more wear a kilt. Now, I pretty much go nowhere unless kilted in my off time. I'm pretty sure the wife thinks I've lost my mind. But, she also enjoys it and doesn't give me any real guff (just some ribbing) over being "that guy." ha.
Since I work more than 40 hrs a week, I'll say I'm kilted roughly half the time.
I guess you were posting about the same time I was, Cinnabar. Another lab rat eh? Sweet

I'm kilted 88% of the time, minues whatever time I am asleep. If I am not at work, I am kilted 100% of the time ( minus sleep).
I depsise pants, and aim to rid myself of them soon!
