I have to specify OTHER as Brown. It's good with the greens.

Yeah, I was only allowed ten choices, otherwise brown would have been in there.

Looks like oatmeal is winning (it would be my choice too, just not available cheap and everywhere. I would have thought black might have ranked better). The 'off-white' I have (Brewins) is VERY white. It would be nice to have an somewhat offer white...

So is oatmeal the new off white?

    Boy,

For me its none...I have so many kilt hose and soccer sox for summer in so many colors I just match them to the kilt so get a good rotation of all colors.

Hopefully, that will extend the wear.

I also buy my kilt hose two at a time. Working long days I prefer to change kilt hose when I'm home for lunch so I actually wear two pair a day...keeps me feeling fresher on 12 hour days and cuts wear on the hose.

Just hand washed nine pair of kilt hose from my Las Vegas vacation...had off white, dark green, maroon, and gold hose.

Just the mixture for me...no one color over the others.

I wear oatmeal most often, but I also wear many other colours.

Never enough hose...and I figured out it's great to get different brands...more shades

When I want to wear the hose down (with hiking boots) I prefer hiking/outdoor socks. When I fold the top once or twice it looks much nicer as a "pile" of sagged kilt hose

    Hose count:

    8p Oatmeal (3 different shades)
3p Lovat blue (2 different shades)
3p Lovat green (2 different shades)
    2p Charcoal (2 different shades)
2p Bottle green (2 different shades)
    1p Dark Olive green
    2p Grey
    2p Cream/Off white
    2p Navy blue
1p Caramel with ancient blue herringbone tops
    1p Tartan hose (MacLaren modern)

    Hiking/outdoor/country socks:

    2p Olive green-light grey blend
    4p Oatmeal
    1p Dark blue-light grey blend
    2p Dark grey-light grey blend

On my wish list...more tartan hose, Heritage hose from Freedom kilts, House of Cheviot "funny top" hose, maroon hose.

Black and white are not my colors and I'm not fond of off white either.
