It's said that misery loves company ... I say so does joy!
Kilting is truly a source of joy to me ... I love every kilt I've got. I wear them so much that I wear them out. I've lost count of how many kilts I have and how many I've gotten rid of, but I know I've given 3 away. Man were those 3 guys excited when I just up and gave them a kilt.
I've become so accustomed, even addicted, to the incredible comfort of a kilt and the airy, unrestricted feeling of wearing it that I've actually lost my ability to feel comfortable in any kind of pants ... I swear they hurt the hair on my legs and the seams just grind into me, even old khakies and running shorts.
There's nothing I don't do in a kilt anymore, even things that others might put on pants to do, like working under the car. I've become so adept at wearing a kilt that I don't even think about being exposed anymore, kiltmanship has simply become second nature.
Can you have too many kilts? I doubt it. But whether you have 1 or 100 it doesn't really matter, you can only wear them one at a time. The joy is not in having them, it's in wearing them. Ah, who am I kidding, there's joy in having them too!!!
Dammit! Now I'm jonesin' for another danged kilt ...
