Thanks for the condolonces. Nothing wrong with Virginia but my wife works in Baltimore and the drive from Virginia was too long. I live near downtown Wheaton but commute to Reston, VA. Not a huge change and it's the 8th state I've lived in. Nonetheless I hope not to do it for a while but may have to move again as early as next year. Until then, I'd better get my kilts out.

How in the world can this be a good thing?

Do they figure that passing the inspection when it's new means it's safe forever?

    I feel your pain.

We moved on Grey Cup weekend last year. I was content where we were but my wife was after me for years to move to a new place. I figured if I finally gave in it might buy me some peace (in addition to more years on the mortgage).

Let me say right now that my next move is into the old folks' home when I am no longer able to fend for myself. I love the new house but hated the move! I won't be doing it again, at least with this wife And the worst part? We only moved three miles, never mind interstate or intercontinental. I don't know how some of you frequent movers do it.

Should be moving from Japan to Scotland next year. Luckily, I don't have THAT much stuff but still not looking forward to it.
