A Boston kilt night would be great. Let us know for sure, especially because I'm a bladesmith myself. I dont wear my kilts all that often, but I do use any excuse I can to do so, the most recent time being in boston in december for a friend's birthday party. I told him i'd wear a kilt to his party and he didnt believe me, since i had to ride the T and walk downtown and all that, he thought I'd chicken out, so he was shocked when i showed up in it.

    jmercier,
I ride the T kilted almost every day. Boston has many kilties, not many know about XMTS ...yet. I know some of them are lurking as they have commented on my posts at church, where about a dozen of us show up kilted each week.
We really need to organize a kilt night at a T accessible venue. This would help the many get there and back after a few int: .

We could go to some place like Red Bones in Davis Square (Red line) where they've got great food (one of my favorite places to eat in all of greater boston) and a very good selection of brews (and their bar downstairs Underbones). The davis square area is very nice now too in general.

    Wish I could go!

Wish I could go! I could escort everyone into the Boston University Pub; they make great sandwiches and have a terrific selection of beer.

The Asgard in Central Square has a very nice single malt selection, as well as a good range of micros on tap. It's two blocks away from the Central Sq. red line stop.

I'm definitely up for a kilt night, but I work nights Wed-Sat, so it would have to be on a "school night" for me to be able to attend.

I'll let you know when I have travel dates confirmed.
I'm hoping that it may be possible to bring my wife and son over as well.
