I highly recommend the hand crafted Heritage Kilt Hose from Freedom Kilts... these are available in cocoa. These fit great / feel great / wear well.

I think KiltedCodeWarrior bought some brown hose at the Gatlinburg games this summer. I think he even started a thread about it.

    brown kilt hose

You could try http://www.unwearoutable.com Check out the kilt stockings section. They're a bit pricey and have many optional features but it looks like they have brown. I couldn't get their shopping cart system to work but you might have better luck or could contact them.

    hose, socks, woolies

has anyone thought of looking at the Sportsmans Guide site?
they have some real high wool wader hose, mind you, there might be some problems with the colour change from the ankle up, BUT, some of them for real are thick enough, cheap, and look VERY warm..
just a thought, i'm going to get a few and see..

Not sure whether Gaeilge or Gaeilge is Wales and which is Ireland but in Welsh:

(The order of Cymru and Iwerddon may require to be reversed)

Yes, I bought a pair at the Gatlinburg games from the Scotland Yard. They were made by Gaelic Themes, and I though Matt was going to try and get soem in stock, but I don't know if he was able to. Anyway, here is a link with pics of the hose. I would think that any shop who carries the GT brand would be able to get them.

Almost Unwearoutable doesn't show any brown socks per se, although there is a colour listed as "mink"...but e-mail Victoria and see; She is a very pleasant person to deal with and very committed to customer service.

Yes, their socks are a wee bit pricey -- but like Steve's hose, you'll never need to buy "cheap" kilt hose again...and isn't that what the definition of "frugal" really is -- never or rarely having to replace something?

Dying some works wonders. I like to buy white pipers hose and soak them in tea to get a nice ecru. I just like the chunkier hose. I like the look of your lovat blue hose with that tartan and the black shoes. Is your goal to wear them with brown accessories? O'Neille
