rules
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Common Sense
Well, well. Once again "common sense" has raised its head and shouts: "I'm alive and doing very well!" It is sad that these things need to be put in print so often and in so many places. Also sad is the fact that these very basic and common sense rules will actually scare some people away.

I didn't see any ban on puns (just some talk of pun-ishment), so I'm cool with this...

I appreciate your efforts to keep us on task (and out of trouble) - it makes perfect sense.

Might I ask for one clarification? In the following rule, the bolded "this" is ambiguous:
Remember this is a KILT forum
Posts and/or threads containing topics not related to kilts or topics deemed questionable by the forum staff may be deleted, without cause. This includes but is not limited to threads concerning kilt accessories used as weapons or used to carry weapons, what is worn under the kilt, the "is a kilt a skirt?" issue, the gender of those wearing kilts, National pride issues, etc...
Now, if the "this" refers to banned topics (which is what it looks like), then is discussion of Sgian Dubhs forbidden? Is discussion of "the question" forbidden? As these have been discussed here in the past, I'd like to know if they are newly forbidden or if the rule isn't clear. I might just be missing something.
I don't want to inadvertently break a rule because I don't understand it. Thanks in advance, guys.

Actually, this was one of the earlier rules that we left as/is. It's good to see that you took the time to read all of them and not just the obvious changes.
The discussion of sgian dubhs is not forbidden. We have no problem with discussion of historic weaponry - sgian dubhs, claymores, etc. We recognize that we have many re-enactors on this forum and we don't want to stop discussion among these members.
We do have a problem with images of sporrans holding firearms or discussion about the merits of this firearm as opposed to that, for a couple of examples.
As for some of the other, mentioned topics, I think they are pretty much self-explanatory. All are issues that have been worn thin through ongoing discussions that typically end up going OTT.

...threads concerning kilt accessories used as weapons
I read that to mean that a post about sgian dubhs is ok.... a post about sgian dubhs used in street fighting is not ok.
