I think these are made. I also thought about cutting them off at the knees, but you'd be bifurcated underneath.

Crack me up...you sure that's not a Utilikilt Spartan?
I still have my three black J'Dez underkilts. Still like them. Sorry they apparently stole money from some folks on this board by never delivering.
Have thought about going to a distant town and finding one of those big beautiful women clothing stores and looking for a cotton slip...but don't need to yet since the three I have now work so well. Just wear them with my hand sewn kilts...protects the kilt from me...

Look for the ones with the drop-seat in them. Then you can still fulfill the primary functions without de-kilting and still keep the nether regions warm.

why bother cutting the legs off perfectly good long johns when you could just wear those "boxer brief" type underpants?

For my money an excellent slip, micro-mini length, fringes removed and ends resewn on a serger will be just fine. My friends should be ok with that and me!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Thank you! How did we go from, "The Kilt is a time honored manly garment" to, "Let's wear slips like the ladies do with their skirts".

Even boxer briefs are "confining", sort of defeating the Freedom part of the kilt's attraction. Since taking up the kilt I have become unconfortably aware of the confining nature of the pants I still do wear; even loose ones tend to bind.

oh I understand completely. I was just saying...if in fact you are gonna wear some sort of underpants...why cut legs off long johns when you can already buy short underpants?
I could care less what you dudes wear under your kilts.

The longer I wear these the more I'm convinced that they are the perfect undergarment.
