    thanks for the compliments!

and i dont think i want to mix my civilian attire with my military attire...just not for me
The wearing of miniature medals on civilian formal wear is correct, though -- it is not considered "mixing" of military kit and civilian "mufti".

    Todd

    Semper yut!

    Switchblade:

Looking good, man! I'd wear miniature medals with civilian attire---but a good cookie and a fire watch don't make a very imposing display!

Todd is right on this one. Occasions of a military nature (like the MC Ball) is one case where the wear of medals by civilians is specifically allowed.

Of course you don't have to, but I figure if you earned them, wear them.

Is that a satin or leather cuff on the jacket? It looks like different material.

    Trust me on this

Y'all DON'T want to tell a Marine what he MUST do. Switchblade is entitled to wear his miniature medals----but that ain't nearly the same thing as saying he HAS to.

Back to thread: Looking at the hard charging young lance coolie reminds me that ---for me---the dress blue uniform really does look best with a blood stripe.

    Semper fi . . . .
